My name is Romain Cazier and I am an interactive designer living in Lausanne, Switzerland (CH). Graduated from ECAL / University of Art and Design Lausanne in Media & Interaction Design, I am now working there as a teaching assistant.

As part of a collaboration between ECAL and Swissnex, I will be doing a three months residency in San Francisco starting from mid-september. There I will work on Virtual Reality, researching about the medium, meeting people of the field and building some experiments. I will log the progress of my researches here.

Aside my practice with web technologies, my interest in Human-Computer Interaction lead me to experiment, to hack and to prototype in order to create novel interactive experiences. I heavily rely on self-made tools and tend to use very pure and minimal visuals (moodboard). Though my works and researches are mainly screen-based, I deeply believe in a future where digital is embodied in the physical world.
